Haley Lavach

Haley received their Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Washington, double majoring in Biology and Classical Civilization. While at the University of Mary Washington, they worked with Dr. Parrish Waters to conduct a study exploring how the influence of physical stress and social enrichment affect cognition and hippocampal physiology in mice, and was awarded a Virginia Academy of Science grant for their research. After graduating in May 2020, Haley joined Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Clinical Research Group (formerly PPD), and conducted pharmacokinetic and anti-drug antibody studies on various monoclonal antibody treatments. In 2024, Haley started as Lab Manager at the Hill Lab in Boulder, Colorado, and looks forward to creating a passionate and collaborative laboratory environment.

Outside of the lab, I spend much my time in various creative endeavors: painting, playing music, and creative writing. I also love exploring the outdoors, whether it be hiking and camping with my Alaskan Malamute or skiing with friends and family. Science, art, and the natural world have a wonderful way of converging together and extending into all aspects of my life.
